I started cross-country skiing with my kids this year and we all love it. They would rather go Nordic skiing than Alpine skiing. It somewhat breaks my heart, but when I see how much fun they're having scooting along the trails, it's hard to get upset. Getting their gear dialed was pretty easy, and much like Alpine skiing, the boots are really important. The Alpina TJ Junior cross-country ski boots will fit the bill for your little Nordic skier really well. They have a good anatomic footbed to add some stability and security to the process, as a lot of young skiers can feel that loss of control, especially if they're coming from an alpine boot. This helps new and young skiers a lot, and makes the whole experience more enjoyable. In addition, from a performance perspective, the Alpina TJ junior cross-country boots have an internal lacing system that's got a zip-up cover, and this does a few things. First, it allows you to get a proper cinch on the laces, as I realized this past week was very important, especially for my youngest. Her boots are a smidge big, so it's helpful for her heels to get them tied tight without coming loose. Second, it keeps the snow out, which sounds obvious, but it makes a big difference, especially if you spend a few hours out there. The ankle strap is a great touch, and adds another level of performance to the equation. Compatible with NNN bindings, the Alpina TJ junior cross-country ski boots are a fantastic choice for emerging Nordic enthusiasts.

Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
