BORG QUEEN PLAYMATES TOYS COLD CAST RESIN LIMITED EDITION FIGURINE FROM STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT. HUGE, 12" TALL SCULPTURE, STOCK No. 65021, SCULPTED BY STEVE VARNER IN 1997, FOR THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION. THE FIGURINE IS IN PRISTINE MINT CONDITION AND COMES WITH A CUSTOM BASE WITH NAME PLATE, AND WITH ITS ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY, SIGNED BY THE SCULPTOR.
NOTE:  WE ALSO CARRY THE SOMEWHAT SIMILAR, BUT FAR SUPERIOR SCULPTURE PRODUCED BY LI AND FUNG FOR THE VIACOM ENTERTAINMENT STORE IN 1998, AS PART OF THEIR STAR TREK: EXPERIENCE EXHIBIT AT THE LAS VEGAS HILTON HOTEL. WHILE NOMINALLY THE SAME SIZE, ITS SCULPTING, FINISHING AND PAINTING ARE FAR SUPERIOR TO THIS ONE, AND LOOKS MORE LIFELIKE AND MUCH MORE LIKE ALICE KRIGE, THE ACTRESS.
PLUS, IT COMES WITH A UNIQUE TWO-PART CONSTRUCTION WHERE HER HEAD, NECK AND SHOULDER CAN DISCONNECT FROM HER TORSO, JUST LIKE IT DID IN THE FILM !  AND THAT ONE ALSO COMES WITH A CUSTOM DIORAMA THAT ATTACHES TO HER SHOULDERS WITH TUBING,  AND A CUSTOM BASE.
It is, however, far more rare (the ONLY one on eBay or Amazon) and expensive.
Purchased new in the late 1990s, this Playmates Toy version has been stored in our darkened warehouse all these years, so the figure is still in Pristine MINT condition, and the box, while a bit scuffed from being moved around during storage over the last twenty three years, is still Bright and Shiny, with UNfaded colors. The box also comes with its original foam packing, and is quite sturdy and structurally sound for shipment  (SEE PHOTOS).
