Description
This auction is for two 7 1/4-inch table saw or miter saw carbide-tipped saw blades. One is new and one is resharpened and still covered with wax from the sharpening serviceOne blade is a Fred Diablo 40-tooth ATB blade with a 5/8-inch bore and a diamond knockout. It is a thin kerf blade: 1/16-inch [0.067].
The plate thickness is: 0.051-inch, and the hook angle is: 15-degrees The Freud item number is D40.
The other blade is an Irwin Marathon 24-tooth ATB with a 5/8-inch bore and a diamond knockout. The kerf is 3/32-inch. The plate is 1/16-inch, and the hook angle is: 15-degrees. The Irwin item number is 24030.
ATB is alternate top bevel. This is when tooth tips have alternative high-teeth which means half cut on one side, the rest on the other. This means that the teeth alternate cutting the wood. A tungsten carbide tooth usually has a flat face with edges on both sides. This means that the blade leaves a clean cut on the sides.
