    Description

Here is a 29 oz refrigerator leftover jar and cover made by Jeannette Glass company of Jeannette Pennsylvania during the mid 1930's. See Weatherman II, page 204, Jeannette company catalogue reprint from 1938. The Thorium salts come from the left over depression glass green they mixed with milk glass to get jadite.  Most people think that the leftovers were just canisters that omitted the stencil of coffee, tea, sugar etc.  They are not but were made to hold anything that was left over from dinner!  Companies gave them away when you bought a new refrigerator.  These were not light but have heavy glass.  Lids are ALWAYS abused because these have poorly designed handles that are difficult to hold.  Ships USPS priority at 2 pounds, 8 ounces in a 9x7x5 box.  Shipping as far as Boston is 12.00 plus insurance.
Please wait for my invoice as insurance is based on selling price.
