Rare Vintage McKee Caramel Opalescent Console/Compote Footed Pedestal
Bowl - Colonial Pattern
11 1/2" diameter x 6 1/4" high x 6" base
What a stunning eye-catching bowl!!
Nine-section footed base extending outward with diamond-shaped indents and
flaring out into 9 round-tipped petals
The color of this bowl cannot be captured in photos!
(not sure what the exact color would be called - could find nothing else like it to compare it to)
It is a light caramel opalescent, which is more striking put up to a light
(took one photo outside to try to demonstrate)
There is a 1/4" chip on base outer rim, but because the color goes all the way through the glass,
it is not obviously noticeable
The inner surface of bowl has a scratch, but almost seems like a production flaw,
again not really noticeable
There are some dark dots in the glass on the base
(not sure what they could be and did not want to try to remove for fear of scratching the glass)
Despite these minor flaws, the bowl is in otherwise excellent condition
and would be a gorgeous display piece
Weighs just over 4 1/2 pounds!
