    Description

VINTAGE 1940's MCKEE HIBISCUS FLAMEX SEARS OVENWARE Roaster/Baking Dish & Cover. The photos don't do it justice. The lower roaster is 13" x 8 3/8" x 4" tall.  Lid which can be used separately as a casserole is 14" x 8 1/2" x 2 1/3" tall.  Made in the 40s due to the shortage of metal needed for the war efforts.  I have used quite a few of these items and they have held up well. Lids are a bit odd to open but it must have been McKee's way of avoiding a patent perhaps?  In very nice original condition, I would say little use.
As with all tempered glass Ovenware or cookware, you need to let it cool on a hot pad or towel, not anything wet of cool.
